Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

The Axinova International Journal of Education (AIJE) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics, transparency, academic integrity, and ethical scholarly publishing practices. The journal follows the principles and guidelines prescribed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure a fair, unbiased, transparent, and ethical publication process for authors, reviewers, editors, and publishers.


1. Duties of Editors

Publication Decisions: Editors are responsible for deciding which submitted manuscripts should be accepted, revised, or rejected based on originality, academic quality, significance, clarity, and relevance to the scope of the journal.

Manuscript Evaluation: All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening, including plagiarism checking, followed by a rigorous double-blind peer-review process.

Fair and Impartial Review: Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on academic merit without discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, religion, institutional affiliation, or political beliefs.

Confidentiality: Editors and editorial staff must maintain complete confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts and related communications.

Conflict of Interest: Editors must not use unpublished information disclosed in submitted manuscripts for their own research or personal benefit without written consent from the authors.

Corrections and Retractions: Editors are responsible for publishing corrections, clarifications, retractions, or apologies whenever necessary to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.

Ethical Oversight: Editors must take appropriate action when ethical concerns or allegations of misconduct arise and should investigate such matters thoroughly.


2. Duties of Authors

Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their submitted manuscripts are entirely original and free from plagiarism. Proper acknowledgment and citation of sources must be provided.

Exclusive Submission: Authors should not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to more than one journal or publication platform.

Authorship: All listed authors must have made significant intellectual contributions to the research work and approved the final version of the manuscript.

Data Integrity: Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy, authenticity, validity, and reliability of research data, findings, and analyses presented in the manuscript.

Source Acknowledgment: Proper citation and acknowledgment of all references, data sources, and previous works are mandatory.

Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest that could influence the research or interpretation of results.

Human and Animal Ethics: Research involving human participants or animals must comply with ethical standards and include approval from relevant ethics committees where applicable.

Corrections: Authors must promptly notify the editor if significant errors or inaccuracies are discovered in their published work and cooperate in issuing corrections or retractions.


3. Duties of Reviewers

Confidentiality: Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents and must not be shared or discussed with others without authorization.

Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively, professionally, and constructively without personal criticism of the authors.

Acknowledgment of Sources: Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.

Ethical Concerns: Reviewers should inform the editor about any suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, data manipulation, or unethical research practices.

Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest and decline the review process if necessary.

Timeliness: Reviewers should complete reviews within the stipulated timeframe and promptly inform the editor if unable to do so.


4. Responsibilities of the Journal

Ethical Standards: The journal is committed to maintaining international standards of ethical scholarly publishing.

Transparency: Clear editorial policies, peer-review procedures, and publication guidelines are maintained to ensure transparency in the publication process.

Monitoring and Enforcement: The journal actively monitors ethical compliance and takes appropriate action in cases of ethical violations or malpractice.

Awareness: The journal promotes awareness regarding ethical publishing practices among authors, reviewers, editors, and readers.


5. Misconduct and Malpractice

Plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, citation manipulation, authorship manipulation, and unethical research practices are considered serious forms of misconduct.

Manuscripts found to be involved in unethical practices may be rejected, corrected, or retracted depending on the severity of the misconduct.

Authors involved in serious ethical violations may be restricted from future submissions to the journal.


6. Retraction and Correction Policy

Published articles may be retracted in cases of proven ethical misconduct, plagiarism, duplicate publication, or significant errors affecting the integrity of the work.

Minor errors that do not affect the overall findings may be corrected through erratum or corrigendum notices.

Retraction notices will remain permanently linked to the original article to maintain transparency and the integrity of the scholarly record.


7. Archiving and Access

The publisher ensures that all published content remains permanently accessible through the journal website and digital archiving systems to preserve scholarly work for future research, reference, and academic use.
